Projecting images on your mental screen is something like remembering a movie you saw at the theater. Your images are projected past your eyelids, out and away from your body onto your mental screen. Imagining in a holographic manner is like remembering what it was like being at the theater watching a movie with a couple of friends; sitting on a squeaky chair in a dark, cool environment, munching on popcorn while sipping out of a straw as you comfortable slouch downward and look up at the movie. You know who is to your right and you know who is to your left. It’s as if you are in the experience and reliving it with all of your mental faculties only with your eyes closed. This is a form of revivification. You are re-living the experience or living a desired experience you create with your mind. Seeing, imaging and dreaming are all different visual experiences. Seeing happens with eyes open and the brain functioning at beta. Visualization is remembering how something looks and usually happens at alpha. In 1988 I had a spiritual experience which changed my life. Up to that time in my life I was very dead, knew nothing of spirit, or God, or religion, believed nothing, sceptical of everything, and no one could tell me anything different. Then at the age of 40, my eyes were opened. I call it "I woke up". I began seeing 'in the spirit' and could understand the working of spirit forces in the world and in the lives of people around me. My wife and I got involved with a dtreet ministry in a city in Canada and became aware of healing by the laying on of hands. I found I could do this also by going into images in my mind and I would find myself working on the problem area from the inside out. Example: I got hurt with a torn muscle in my arm and I could not turn my wrist like palm up to palm down. The next day I found myself inside the muscle sewing up each layer with a needle. After a few hours of visualizing this, I heard a voice in my mind saying, "Turn your hand over." Expecting pain I tried it very slowly. To my surprize, my hand turned and have had no problem since. So I relate to your visualization technique. It just happened for me without any training. I am sorry for the loss of your Dad and that I was unable to meet him.
