Using ESP to help adopt a child

In this case, saving a life… (Remote Viewing Experience)

Marina Niemeijer, director of Silva activities in The Netherlands saved her life thanks the Silva’s techniques. One night she dreamt that she had a terrible car accident with her husband with a green van implicating a lot of other cars as well. In her dream, her husband died from the accident. When she woke up, she was terrified and she said “I went to my level and asked higher intelligence not to let this happen. I reprogrammed the story in such a way that we were not in this terrible accident.” The next day she had to drive 12 hour. Halfway cars were slowing down, there was an accident with a green van. One car had turned around 180 degrees. She said “I am very grateful for this experience, which showed me that the future consists of a set of possibilities, which, with the help of higher intelligence, we can direct.”

Another unusual application of Intuition…

Tween Coleman, a pilot of a major airline, used her mind to check for problems with the airplane and the weather conditions. Tweet credits the Silva techniques, which she learned in the 1970′s with helping her to achieve so much success.

And in this case, a Silva group was asked to investigate the scene of an accident (Remote Viewing Experience)

Verna Lee Shirley, a graduate from Silva Method, joined a group of cases working. One day there was a terrible accident in her hometown of Spearman, Texas. Four people were killed instantly on a collision of a truck and an automobile. The office didn’t know which driver was responsible and asked for some help. Working on this case, the Silva group had concluded both drivers were responsible because they were working in the middle of the highway instead of their entitled lane. The attorney was not happy to hear that and decided to hire a specialized expert who can look at photos, the wrecked vehicles and road marks to formulate an opinion about the cause. He arrived to the same conclusion as the Silva group.

The term ESP stands for extra-sensory perception and refers to communication or perception by means outside the normal five senses.

ESP was once dismissed as superstition, but its existence has been repeatedly verified by numerous scientists and researchers in leading universities around the world. ESP, also called intuition, is a common faculty we all possess. Some people simply use it better than others.

A scientist by the name of Dr. J. B. Rhine conducted the first scientific experiments on ESP in the 1930’s and 40’s at Duke University.

Dr. Rhine had people attempt to guess which of five symbols would be on a playing card facing away from them. The odds of guessing correctly are one in five or 20%. But Dr. Rhine found that many people had accuracy rates far beyond this.

In some experiments the odds in favor of ESP were 22 billion to one. This proved that something was occurring which was allowing people to guess which cards were being picked,and this guessing was correct to a remarkable degree. The laws of probability were being violated.

His experiments also showed that distance, space and time played no significant effect on the success of the phenomenon.

A highly trained subject in France could guess the outcome of a card drawn in the US just as well when she was across the Atlantic Ocean, as when she was sitting directly opposite the person drawing the cards.

Furthermore, the subject could guess the outcome of a card drawn a year into the future – again with the same degree of accuracy.

Dr. Rhine’s experiments sent shock-waves across academia as other scientists raced to confirm them. His book Extra-Sensory Perception after 60 years became required reading for the introductory psychology class at Harvard. His experiments were repeated around the world 309 times involving 50,000+ people and 2 million sessions – proving without a doubt that ESP is real.

The Growing Acceptance of ESP

In the early part of the 20th century Einstein said:

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

Today, with the jump in empirical scientific evidence and first-hand human experiences, belief in human intuition and ESP is rapidly rising.

The 1990 Gallup public opinion poll found that 93% of Americans polled believed in one or more of 18 paranormal phenomena, including ESP, mental healing, telepathy and clairvoyance.

And this number is increasing.

A follow up poll eleven years later, in May 2001 found that belief had actually increased in twelve out of thirteen phenomena measured in both the 1990 and 2001 polls and increased significantly (5% or more) in seven of them.

The 1990 Gallup Poll also asked Americans if they had had first-hand experience with paranormal phenomena. The results were surprising.

25% of Americans claim to have experienced telepathy. 25% claim success with mental healing.

More and more people are not only believing in ESP and mental healing, but are also experiencing and using it.

Belief in mental and spiritual healing has increased significantly (up 8%) between 1990 and 2001.

Today, about three in four Americans have at least one paranormal belief. Some of the most professed beliefs are in ESP, telepathy, clairvoyance, and mind-body healing.  The most recent Gallup Poll released June 2005, showed that extra sensory perception was the most popular belief at 41%.

“Sure,” say the skeptics, “the majority of Americans may believe in ESP but this is usually the less educated majority. Educated people can’t be taking this seriously, right?”

Wrong.

Studies have shown that, as education increases, belief in ESP also increases.

The May 2001 Gallup Poll discovered that “Americans with the highest levels of education are more likely to believe in the power of the mind to heal the body”. The same is true for ESP and telepathy.

One major study done in 1977 found a positive correlation between intelligence and paranormal belief – the more intelligent you were, the more you believed in a world beyond the five senses.

Another 1984 study, a sample of high school students, found higher grade point averages correlated positively with belief in ESP phenomenon.

Finally, a 1989 CBS television poll done in conjunction with 48 hours uncovered that 75% of persons with a college degree believed in paranormal phenomena, while only 36% of people with less than a high school degree believed in these phenomena. In short, as education increased, so did belief.

If you believe in ESP – congratulations.

The majority of educated Americans now share your belief.

The Stunning Scientific Evidence

Scientific research on ESP is still in its infancy. But the evidence being produced is highly compelling.

These are summaries of some recent discoveries…

1. Everyone has ESP to some degree.

In the 1960s, Dr. Montague Ullman, founder of the Dream Laboratory at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and professor emeritus of clinical psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York conducted a series of experiments that provided strong empirical evidence that everyone possesses psychic ability.

In Dr. Ullman’s study volunteers who claimed to possess no psychic ability were asked to sleep in a room in the lab while a person in another room concentrated on a randomly selected painting and tried to get the volunteer to dream of the image it contained. Sometimes the results were inconclusive. But other times the volunteers had dreams that were clearly and strikingly influenced by the paintings.

2. The greater your belief  – the stronger your ESP ability.

Dr. G. R. Schmeidler of the Harvard Psychological Clinic went on to show that telepathy was not only real, but was strongly affected by a person’s belief in his or her own telepathic abilities. He also performed experiments that proved that telepathic power exists in everyone.

3. The mind can influence matter at any distance

In the 1980s and 1990s Dr. Robert G. Jahn and Dr. Brenda J. Dunne of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Laboratory showed that some humans possess telekinetic power and various forms of telepathy and that these are both distance and time independent.

Dr. Jahn is Professor of Aerospace science and dean emeritus of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at Princeton (1994). Dr. Dunne is the manager of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research Laboratory (P.E.A.R). Their book Margins of Reality – The Role of Consciousness in the Physical World will make even the strongest skeptic think twice.

4. The evidence for ESP is very strong.

More recently, Professor Robert Morris and Dr. Caroline Watt of the Koestler Institute at Edinburgh University conducted experiments where over 100 subjects in a locked room were asked to pick out which of four pictures were “beamed” to them by a subject in another room. Success rates were 50%, twice the 25% that pure statistical results should have produced. The odds of this occurring are approximately 1 in 14 million.

These results are 35,000 times more significant than the level of evidence governments demand from pharmaceutical companies before a new drug is let out on the market.

The conclusion:

ESP is real.

Everyone who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a Spirit is manifest in the Laws of the Universe.

A Word of Caution

When it comes to belief in ESP, people tend to fall into four different groups.

Which one are you?

1. Disbeliever

The first group is the disbeliever. They simply refuse to believe in any phenomenon that cannot be explained by Newtonian physics. No amount of scientific evidence will convince them otherwise.

2. Skeptic

The second is the skeptic. This is someone who does not believe in ESP because it goes against his knowledge of science. However, the skeptic is open-minded and when given strong scientific evidence they would be willing to admit that ESP does exist. A skeptic would cast aside testimonial evidence but will give strong consideration to the results of scientific research.

3. Cautious Believer

Third the cautious believer. This person trusts that ESP exists but will not believe every claim they read about. They demand scientific proof or testimonial evidence*. A cautious believer would find this series of lessons interesting because it is backed up with scientific evidence and references to respected outside sources.

4. True Believer

The fourth group, the true believer strongly believes in ESP and is likely to also believe anything they read or hear. If you are one – we encourage you to exercise caution. Not everyone who claims to have ESP has it to an extent strong enough to charge you money for.

When it comes to a little understood phenomena, such as ESP, it is better to be a cautious believer or a skeptic rather than a true believer.

Do We Know How it Works?

A number of theories have been but put forth on how ESP works but these are still nothing more than theories.

Today, it is generally accepted that ESP does exist and everyone has it but science has yet to identify how or why it works.

However, we do not need to know how it works to use it – we only need to know that it does work.

Think of the sun. For thousands of years we have used the energy of the sun for light and heat. Yet, nobody knew what the sun really was. It was only in the last 100 years that humankind was able to understand that the sun is large star made up of hydrogen and helium atoms going through a thermo-nuclear reaction.

It’s the same with ESP – we do not yet know how it works or why. But we do know that it is real.

And as any Silva UltraMind System grad will tell you – once you learn to use it – you can create many positive and beneficial effects in your life.

There are no unnatural or supernatural phenomena, only very large gaps in our knowledge of what is natural. We should strive to fill those gaps of ignorance.

The Implications

The growing body of evidence for ESP and other unusual phenomenon is being noticed by businesses and governments.

Here’s a list of some recent developments:

SONY Corp has been conducting research into alternative medicine, spoon bending, telepathy and other forms of ESP.

Dr. John Mihalasky, author of the book Executive ESP, has shown that success rates for executives were proportional to their ESP ability lending credence to the idea that intuition is a large factor in business success.

In November 1995 the CIA confirmed that for the previous 20 years it has been using psychics for spy operations.

In November 1998 the US Patent Office issues the first patent for a psi- effect.

In July 1993 Mutual of Omaha, the nation’s largest provider of health insurance for individuals announces that it would start paying benefits for meditation exercises designed to reverse heart disease.

In 1997 the Federal Government’s National Institute for Health formally endorses acupuncture.

In April 2004 researchers in Denver University found that patients who underwent a placebo surgery for Parkinson’s Disease reported a better quality of life twelve months later. One woman even reported a resumption of full physical activity, having been inactive for many years before surgery.

The power of the placebo effect has been seen before in Parkinson’s disease but not to this extent. Clearly the mind-body connection is very strong in this condition and it’s to be hoped that ways can be found to exploit this to benefit the patient.

Enhancing Your ESP

ESP is a natural ability that is heightened when you are in a state of meditation.

One simple technique to use your ESP is to go to your alpha level and ask yourself a problematic yet urgent question.

Let images appear on the mental screen (explained in Lesson 3). Do not analyze what you see. Simply describe what you see mentally to yourself. Focus on describing rather than analyzing. As soon as you start analyzing what you see you allow your left brain to hijack the process.

We want to stress that it takes a lot of practice to develop your ESP. In our seminars participants experience ESP after 2 days – but this is after 18 hours of intensive training and guidance from a trained lecturer.

If you are unable to get results with the technique described above, don’t worry. You can still develop your ability by attending a seminar.

Another technique is called “dream-logging”

Louisa Rhine, the wife of Dr. J. B. Rhine conducted an ESP experiment of her own while her husband was testing ESP ability empirically in a lab. Louisa asked people to write to her about their first-hand experiences with ESP. She received almost 14,000 letters. She found that 60% of the people who wrote to her claimed that their ESP experience came to them while dreaming.

You might be experiencing ESP dreams too. But you usually forget your dreams.

“Dream-logging” is simple. Simply keep a pad and pencil by your beside and write down your dreams in the morning when you wake up or in the middle of the night if you suddenly awaken during a dream.

With practice anyone can develop and enhance their ESP. The ability, like sports or musical talent is something that anyone can train themselves to be good at.

But keep in mind that the old saying of practice makes perfect does not apply here. In fact it rarely applies to anything. Perfect practice makes perfect. You need to practice the right exercises, in the right sequence, with the right training and mindset.

How To Use Intuition or Extra Sensory Perception

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to be so successful in life? Everything flows just right for them. Whatever they touch turns to gold. They’re the lucky ones. They’re the ones with the great job, great salary, perfect love, ideal life.

You may find yourself thinking, “Why them and not me?”

One reason for their success is the ability to make correct choices and decisions and successful people do that consistently.

Successful people make right choices and decisions that cause *positive outcomes*. It is based on information that goes far beyond what is learned and accessing accurate information from seemingly nowhere.

This is known as ESP, intuition or clairvoyance. Highly successful people enjoy a higher degree of ESP than the average person. Where most people based their decision-making based on accumulative knowledge, successful people combine all that they’ve learned together with what they sense with intuition. Their ability to gather information is way ahead of the rest.

It’s Taboo…

Everybody’s intuitive but not everybody trust their intuition when it comes to making decisions. Most people don’t even believe they have intuition so they don’t think to use it for problem solving.

Even today, there those who are afraid of their intuition. They have misconception about clairvoyance. They think its taboo and something to suppress.

Others believe they have it and have experienced it but do not know how to use it for problem solving.

Intuition is a skill that can be developed and applied to all areas of life. Its not a gift that only a few have. This is a misunderstanding since everyone has some degree of intuition.

Those who are really successful, love that they have ESP and use it all the time, since it gives them an edge over the rest of the world they work with, compete with, and live with.

That Voice In Your Head

Your intuition has probably guided you all your life by providing you with information that helped you with positive outcome. These comes as hunches, inspirational thoughts, dreams or visions.

It can also come from others or from your inner voice. Often it is an overwhelming feeling in the pit of the stomach, gut or heart. No matter how the information comes to you, the outcome is usually positive since it usually helps you to move forward faster, solve a problem and keeps u from making a mistake.

Intuition is like reading. It’s a skill that can be developed through time. No one was born knowing how to read. Yet most everyone has the potential of learning how to read. When very young we were thought the letters of the alphabet. And then the sounds those letter represented. As time went by, the more we read, the more skillful we become at reading.

With intuition, the more you understand and use your intuition, the stronger it becomes. Some people seem to have more intuition than others, its probably because they had positive experience with it growing up. And they are now more comfortable with using it.

Having a keen sense of intuition is desirable in every area of your life and although many people don’t advertise their intuitive ability openly, they use it all the time.

Every person can benefit from having and using intuition. To be able to make the correct decisions in business, family and relationships can really add a tremendous advantage in life.

Exploring Intuition

Let’s explore intuition, intuitives, clairvoyance and psychics a little further.

Intuition is the direct knowing or learning of something without the conscious use of reasoning. This definition applies best to:

1. The natural psychic – People who are highly sensitive who’ve stumbled upon their ability naturally. They are often referred to as natural intuitives/clairvoyance/psychics.

Most natural psychics have had no conscious training in developing their intuition. The definition implies that direct learning or knowing of information in that way happens without using the physical senses or using analytical or deductive thinking.

2. The trained psychics – a group of people who have gone through a training process to develop intuition, a skill that can be developed by following a simple procedure. They have learned to discern information by using their abilities to reason consciously.

In this case, the traditional definition of intuition would not apply. A trained psychic can sense and/or seek information at will, apply it to problem solving and reach more positive outcomes.

Between the natural intuitive – who has the accuracy rate of 60% compared to the trained psychic whose accuracy rate is at 80% – it is the trained intuitive who has a greater control and advantage.

This is because they have the ability to turn their intuition on or off as needed. A natural intuitive has to wait for the information to come to them. Sometimes it comes on time but sometimes it is too late.

Intuition can also be used in medical situations…

Ricardo Floyd, a psychiatric social worker in Laredo who worked with Jose Silva during the later years of Mr. Silva’s research in the 1960s is grateful that a trained psychic was available to help correct a problem. Floyd’s son Bobby unexpectedly darted into the street and was struck by a car.

“When I got to the emergency room, I was too upset to go to my center and program,” Floyd recalled. “I kept calling mentally for Jose to come to the hospital.” Suddenly Jose showed up along with his daughter Isabel, his daughter and an excellent psychic.

Jose and Isabel went to work on Bobby, mentally repairing the damage to the boy’s body and especially his head.” But something concerned Isabel. “She said she had a hard time hanging on to him, that he kept ‘slipping away.’ She continued working and working with the doctors. She noticed that the doctor repositioned the piece of fractured skull – ‘closed it,’ she said – but she could see inside that the ‘lower table’ was pressing against the brain.

Evidently the impact had pushed it in. She kept telling the doctor mentally to ‘Check inside! Check inside!’ Finally she felt relieved. Later that night, the doctors told me what they had done. It was a repetition of what Isabel had told me. They said they almost lost Bobby, and had to work very hard,” Floyd said. The surgeon said, ‘Originally when I repositioned that piece of bone, it looked pretty good. It looked as though my job was through. Then I felt uncomfortable, and decided to go inside and check.’ That’s when he found that the lower table was pressing on the brain, and repositioned it.

And from a Doctor himself… (An ESP in Psychology Story)

I should have written this review 2 years ago, but due to the many changes that have occurred, I have neglected it until now. Extra sensory perception is possible, something that I would have never believed several years ago.

Some background, I was run over 2 and 1/2 years ago, complete with being in a coma. I was in intense pain (with headaches that I was told that I would have the rest of my life as well as back and leg pain) and the brain was pretty well shot. My Neurologist and Neuro-Psychologist both recommended that I start meditating. I had done this years ago, but had fell out of practice and could not get the hang of it again. I stumbled on this book “by accident”.

Suddenly, things started to click. It is not an overnight thing, one has to follow the simple instructions which include an easy 40 day program. I was soon able to walk again, and withing 6 months,was able to return to practicing medicine. I have advanced even further and made a move and am happier than I have been in years. Also, no headaches or any other pain. My medical knowledge returned totally intact.

Now back to the extra sensory perception thing. I have found that most of the time that I am able to figure out my patients’ diagnosis when I first walk into the room and look at them. Of course, I still get x-rays and lab work to comfirm the diagnosis, but I would say that I have a correct diagnosis in about 95% of the cases. How this happens, I cannot tell for sure, but it has made me get some extra tests that confirmed a diagnosis that I got a feeling for when the patient did not even complain of symptoms. Lance Miller, an international shooting coach at the US Olympic Training Center, said that one of the most important things in the Silva course to help his athlete is intuition. To help his fencers develop a strategy, Andrzej Wojcikiewicz, a sports psychologist and former coach of the Canadian National Fencing Team used a special Silva’s Technique. “One fencer imagined putting on the head of a world champion before a match, got the feeling, took off the “helmet”, and then fenced the match with a great success. This techniques was used by some fencers before unusually difficult bouts in order to instinctively plan the correct strategy for the fencing match.”

Lance Miller, an international shooting coach at the US Olympic Training Center, said that one of the most important things in the Silva course to help his athlete is intuition. The NDM Corporation, located in the Miami River in Dayton, Ohio, manufacturers machines used in the medical field and also develops plastics for use within the human body. Its president took the Silva Method training course, and decided to have all 550 employees trained. The training course started with eighty employees at a time, most of whom were at a management levels. In one oh the first classes was a chemist working to find a new plastic that the body would not reject and that could be used for arteries in bypass surgery. This chemist decided to use a Silva Method technique that puts the mind to work on a problem while you are asleep.

He awoke during the night with a vivid recollection of a dream about a formula. He wrote it down. When he examined the formula at the plant in the morning, it was almost identical to one he had already tried with negative results. “Why waste time”, a colleague said, “we have already worked on that one”. But he had a gut feeling that the small difference in the formula might make a difference. Over the objections of his colleague, he put together a sample, tested it, and it worked!

Chester was the owner of Dr.Pepper Bottling Co. Chester had three applicants for a position in the company, and he asked for help in making a hiring decision. While envisioning the three applicants, Joe Silva told Chester that the one who looked the best on paper because of his college education would not stay long because he was looking for a management position and the second person was lazy! Just before Christmas 2006 I began to use the Silva Method regularly.. Shortly after I began having strange intuitions and dreams that something about my husband would shortly be ending. At the time he was traveling over 1000 miles per week and was working close to 100 hours. Our family life was at melt down and I planted the question “How do we regain our lives”.

The strange expectation continued until Feb 16 my husband returned from work early with the news that he had lost his job. He is the only provider for the family. Over the next 7 months he searched for work and my “helpful?” suggestions did nothing to move him towards finding new employment.

I used the mental video technique, first bringing together all the images of life as it was with no income, and then life with a new career for him. I surrended the situation to the Universe and three days later suddenly felt the urge to contact an outplacement consultant I had used in the past- she spoke to me and then suggested my husband call a colleague of hers.

He did- and the day after this guy happened to bump into an old friend and asked if he needed a Finance Director- and sure enough he did- even before the guy had seen my husbands CV- two weeks later my husband had a new job!!

As I write this I reflect on a few areas on my life which are less than perfect just now and I am reminded that just as I need to breathe to survive, so too I need to use Silva every day in order to live.
