Laura Silva Quesada
President
Laura Silva Quesada Laura is President of Silva International and the daughter of Jose Silva, founder of the original Silva Mind Control Method. Born during the pinnacle of the Silva research on mind development, Laura was one of the primary research subjects which gave her extensive personal experience and insight into the creation and use of intuitive techniques.
Wanting to continue researching where her father left off, she brought together some of the most experienced experts in the mind development field and continued research that unites the best and most useful of the concepts behind the original Silva Method programs with the latest findings from studies on the human mind, intuition, alternative health care, NLP and spirituality. She is aggressively developing new and exciting programs for our Internet site and Product Store.
Laura has authored the book For Parents Only and guides people through the mental exercises in the highly successful Nightingale-Conant tape series on the Silva Method. She is the star of Nightingale-Conant’s The Silva Method in Action video and one of the authors of the Universal Mind Power audiotape program also produced by Nightingale-Conant. More recently she has authored and produced the new best-selling Silva Life System distance learning course. She also presents Holistic Healing in Alternative and Complimentary Healing courses to nurses and doctors throughout the United States.
For over 30 years, Laura has presented Silva programs to people of all ages, worldwide. A lively and dynamic presenter, Laura’s personal dedication and warmth are conveyed to all who attend her seminars.
Jose Silva Jr.
Director
Jose Silva, Jr. is one of the last links to his father’s pioneering research that led to the development of ESP to help everyone benefit from it every day, in every area of life.
Joe was born in 1941, the first of Jose and Paula Silva’s 10 children. When his father began to experiment with hypnosis in the late 1940’s using Joe’s younger sisters and brothers as subjects, Joe was there to help and to document much of the research. He recorded pre-natal age regression sessions when his siblings went back to so-called “past life regressions”.
Eventually, the research led to a way to develop ESP and Joe and the other children were encouraged to practice it at every opportunity. During those same years, Joe and his brothers also helped out in the family’s electronics repair business.
Joe was in the U.S. Navy serving in Vietnam when his father began taking his findings to the public via a series of workshops in the mid 1960’s. There was a huge demand for Jose Silva’s “mind control” system, as it was called back then, so in 1967 Mr. Silva asked Joe to come back to Laredo as soon as he could and help take care of the electronics repair business.
When the new seminar business began to grow, Joe helped manage it too, and was one of the three incorporators of Silva International, the corporation that still manages the original course.
In 1995 Mr. Silva nominated Joe to take over the Presidency of Silva International, a position now held by Laura Silva Quesada since September 6, 2007.
Joe’s unique perspective of observing his father’s research and the results it produced has provided great insight to help him make good decisions for the companies that manage the programs, and for the worldwide corps of Instructors who depend on the Laredo headquarters to help them present seminars that accurately represent the research and enable people around the globe to take full advantage of Everyday ESP in their own lives.
Joe has been married to his wife Ruth since 1967. They have two children, David and Ruthie and five grandchildren. Joe holds a black belt in Karate, and served as a consultant to Ed Bernd, Jr. in developing the Silva Star Athlete program and The Silva Method – Think and Grow Fit book (published by Career Press in 1996).
Diana Silva Mendez
Vice-President and Director of Communication
Diana, daughter of Jose and Paula, joined the Silva business in 1978. In 1993 Diana married Ruben Mendez, and in 1996, their only child, Nikolas Ruben, was born.
Diana’s eagerness to serve the Silva Method was rewarded in 1999, when she was promoted to Director of Public Relations. In August 2000, she became a Certified Silva Method Instructor.
In 2001 Diana was promoted to Vice President and Director of Communications for the Silva Method. In this position, she works directly with instructors around the world.
Diana has an encyclopedic ability to answer questions about the Silva Method. After talking with her you are left feeling completely informed, and because of her warm and charming personality you know that you’ve made a friend.
